you mad cause i'm stylin' on you?

Designer gas masks; a new trend? I wonder which rapper will be the first to rock. Kanye or Lil' Wayne?

I see this one going the way of the ski goggles.

Remember that?

be on the lookout

I watched this video one time and immediately the song was embedded in my head. Since that first time, I've probably listened to it at least once a day. It's just THAT hot. Saleema plays guitar while singing AND rapping and manages to make it look effortless. This is just the type of artistry the music industry needs. Watch out for her!

put the lime in the coconut..

I never honestly paid any attention to Tyga; I'd see him in a lot people's Top 8's or whatever on Myspace but I was unaware of what he actually "did". Basically, he met Travis McCoy (Gym Class Heroes) in a sneaker store and gave him his demo. Now, he has endorsements from Fall Out Boy and Lil' Wayne among others. With that type of support along with his image, I can actually see him making some major moves in the industry.

While undeniably catchy, the song is pretty lame. Like, did he really just "sample" Coconut by Harry Nilsson?

to catch a predator.

This is just disturbing on so many levels.

Uhhhh.

this is my blog

Every night, I fall asleep to mtvU as it's the only mtv channel that has tolerable music. Last night started off no different than any other; I turned to channel 182, got in bed and began to drift off to sleep. Then I heard it.. that infectious riff, gripping bassline and melodic voice. the opening line, "all i want is to be with you" gave me chills. I had no choice but to watch; to listen. 3 minutes and 20 seconds later, I was at my computer downloading the album the single was from. None of it compares to the lead single "Warm Me Up", but the song captured me so much that I honestly didn't even expect it to.

The Audition - Warm Me Up off the album Champion.

enjoy.
